The Swarbrick Singers were formed by director Ian Clarke in 1983 while he was organist of All Saints' Church in Northampton. The organ at the church was built by Thomas Swarbrick, an 18th century builder and the original case is still there.

The group has an enviable reputation as one of the finest small choirs in the region and programmes show expertise and musicality in a very wide range of music spanning many centuries.

Our programmes may include Renaissance masses and motets, Elizabethan and Italian madrigals, early to late Baroque music, including the Bach motets, works by Mozart and Haydn, Brahms and Bruckner, Britten, Tippett  and Whitacre and many more composers.

We sing music both sacred and secular from all periods at weddings, Christmas concerts, fund-raising events as well as our own regular concert programme.

If you are interested in the Swarbrick Singers in any way: supporting us in our concerts; becoming a Friend (see below); booking the choir for any function; or simply would like to be put on our mailing list, then do email or telephone us for further information.

We practice on Wednesday evenings near Northampton, and new members are always welcome.
